Port Orchard Southworth
The south end life group is a fellowship of Christians whose main characteristics are love for one another and mutual caring and sharing. The membership is drawn from throughout the Kitsap peninsula. Ages range from infants to senior saints in their 70's. All who come are warmly welcomed and are encouraged to actively participate.
Acts 2:42 provides the cornerstone for the group. Pointing to the importance of fellowship and living life in community with other Christians. The group is bound together by strong bonds of Christian love and a sincere desire to nurture and care for one another.
The meetings are always informative and include some kind of bible study or discussion. The group is known for its fine food which is abundant and delicious. We invite you to come sample the cuisine and share in the fellowship. We are a people that come together to pray, play, fellowship and to learn, and to grow in Christ Jesus. Come and enjoy the warmth and comfort of true christian love and fellowship.
When: 5:00 pm the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
Where: we take turns at three different homes — Sand's — Gower's and the St. Martin's.
Group Facilitators: Dewayne Gower and Bob Sands.
Dewayne and his wife Frankie have been members of the lords church for many years. Dewayne is a retired educator with a background in education and management.
Bob and his wife Dee have been members of the lords church for several years also. Bob is a retired master chief of the U.S. Navy and his experience in the military and subsequent work in the private sector have prepared him well to work with active duty and retired military personnel.
