Where does God Fit in our Plan?

As published in our November 6th bulletin

From the time we awake there are an infinite number of choices and decisions we must make. We must choose what clothing to wear, breakfast to eat, and the route we take to work. Our days are filled with choice after choice; we establish priorities to determine where to put our time, efforts, resources, and money. Do we buy a new car or save for our children’s education?

Where does God fit in our plan? Do we consider him first or last? Jesus tells us in Matthew 6 "So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Solomon wrote in Proverbs 3 "Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."

Has it become time in our lives to allow God to take control and become our first priority? Let us pray and meditate on this thought.
